Hey guildies, I found an alternate healing strategy for Baleroc that should make it easier: www.glowbie.net/blog/2011/07/19/healing-baleroc-10-man/In a nutshell: -Always 2 healers on the Boss tank, and one on the crystal "tank". -Blow hero and get 50 spark stacks for one healer really fast. -That healer switches to tank healing and stays tank healing the whole rest of the fight. -At the same time, one of the tank healers switches to crystal healing until he also gets 50 stacks, then also switches to the boss for the rest of the fight. -Finally, the second original tank healer switches to crystal healing for the rest of the fight.

First - I made the mistake changing the healing rotation and healing buff lengths after those 2 really good attempts and for that was definetly my fault. I wasnt getting enough stacks to heal the tanks when we switched. As long as we heal threw 2 torment rotations and then switch, we should be right were we were getting him to 30%-25% no problem. Second - We need to save hero for the cooldown burn. Bal will 1 shot tanks around 25%-35% with the stacks being so high. Having hero with our cooldowns when the first tank goes down is a must. Third - You guys are awesome and we should see our baleroc kill on wed!

I deleted my other post and I'll write here my current understanding of the best way for us to do this fight.
Raid composition: 1 tank (hazzah), 3 healers (polliepocket, moonshroud, pug/new hpal), 6 DPS
Torment Rotation: -Kilac(11-12)->Heiri(13-14) -Thadrana (14-15)->Weye (10-11) -Heiri uses shadow ward (and passive soul link) and Thadrana uses shamanistic rage each time they tank shard damage.
Healer Swaps:
-HPal(Pug healer) and Moonshroud heal first shard with heroism. Polliepocket starts off healing hazzah. -Moonshroud swaps to tank healing after first shard. -After the second shard, the HPal(Pug Healer) switches to the tank and Moonshroud switches to heal the shard. -After the third shard, Moonshroud switches back to the tank, and Polliepocket switches to shard healing. -No more heal swaps for the rest of the fight.
Tanking tips: Glyphed Vampiric Blood + Death strike when you get hit by a decimation.
First Shard: -Heroism as soon as torment starts stacking. -Only 1.5s cast/instant heals. -Glyphed Shield wall at 15 stacks. -Enraged Regeneration after shield wall. -Pain Suppression and PW:Barrier at 19 stacks.
Other Notes: -Everyone should pre-pot. Just watch threat. -The fight should be 5 minutes long. Use cooldowns appropriately. -Polliepocket can open with hymn of hope to help with mana. Pre-shield and hot Hazzah + use tank cds to survive without heals during this time.

Baleroc simplified: 1 Tank - Face boss away from raid so you don't get tormented buff. Utilize cooldowns for decimation / Inferno blades. Raid - Side stepping back and forth between the 2 raid markers making sure you do not take the tormented debuff. The tormented - 4 man dps rotation A > B C > D. These Dps will rotate taking the tormented shard beam. The only time the rotation will change is if a mistake is made. Call it out in vent and pls adjust. Switch at 11 stacks so you should only get 12 total. Use self healing or damage reduction cooldowns at 6 stacks. Healers CANNOT take this buff or we wipe. (Were not changing this. We got it down virtualy perfect. These people know what they are doing. hehe) Thadrana > Medasn > Weye > Heiri Healers - A > B > C. use your cooldowns so we can survive the switch especially haste cooldowns. Healers will switch after the first shard is down. Then switch between the tank and tormented every 15 sec so each healer has 30 sec of building sparks. Poliepocket > Moonshroud > Holy Paladin Healers call out a 3 sec warning then call out switch and who ever is going to switch to. Example: If im the holy paladin and Polliepocket is next i would say "3seconds" on my healing buff, then "Polliepocket switch." Raiders need to keep vent clear during raid boss encounters and not talk over people. Majority of calls should be made by the raid leaders. This should help us focus on the task at hand. If you need to bring something up, wait till the encounter is over. Rule number 1 - Don't change the strat. Rule number 2 - Don't change the strat! Rule number 3 - if unsure about changing the strat, go back to rule number 1. I really hope this clarifies everything. Any questions just ask me. Thadrana

There's a reason I have Kilac and Weye taking 11-12 and Heiri and Thadrana taking 13-14 stacks of torment. Heiri and Thad have more damage reduction. This isn't a change, we we're doing this at the end of tonight's attempts. Medasn should not be in the shard rotation. We can't risk losing his DPS due to him being forced to go into melee. If you switch every 15 seconds, doesn't each healer have 15 seconds of building sparks? I think it's better to switch after shards despawn. There is a gap between shards where the healer's vital flame stack can fall off. Healers were having a really tough time keeping up with the switches it seemed. EDIT: Remember that paladin said we need to have 2 healers on the tank for most of the fight, not 2 on the shard tanks like we've been doing. This might be our biggest mistake. I still like the simple healer swap strategy in my first post, but I'm not totally sure about it. It's certainly the easiest possible strat, but I think it also requires high DPS. If the boss lives past 5 minutes, the 50-60 stacks on the tank healers may become insufficient. In this video: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=58I-l1ybFEc they kill the boss in 4:40 with all DPS above 20k, first healer gets to 64 stacks, and second healer gets to 48 stacks. The shadow priest only took 14 stacks on the first shard. Tank had 47 stacks of blaze at the end of the fight.
